Follow up on Woman at Daycare

Hello Parents,

We would like to thank you all for your patience and co-operation with us during this time. We are happy to inform you that the police spoke to the father of the woman who has been loitering in the parking lot. Her father introduced himself and his daughter this morning. Audree is 25 and has a  mental disability, with a functioning age of approximately 10. She is very shy, and speaks mainly French.

We do sympathize with her special needs, however we have informed Audree and her father that because of the tender age of our children, she cannot come and stay at our windows. We have told her she can wave hello when she is out for her walk, but she must quickly move along, so as not to alarm parents or children. We have Audree's father's contact information, and we can call him if needed. If you do see her, please remain calm and friendly, and tell a teacher. Please keep in mind that Audree has the mental/emotional age of 10, and needs to be treated as such.

We have informed the Ministry of Education and the police of the situation, and the matter is considered by both, as well as Tiny Hoppers Barrhaven to be resolved. We will continue to keep you updated as needed.

Thank you all very much for your patience co-operation and trust. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to speak to Miss Kala, Mme Kathy or Maria.

Woman Loitering in the Area

Dear Parents,
As some of you have noticed, there is a woman that has been loitering around the area for the last week and a half now. She does not seem to pose a threat, but has made some teachers and parents uncomfortable. The police have been notified about her presence here, and a file has been created on her. The teachers all know what she looks like and know that if they are to see her, they are to call the police.
We ask that parents please DO NOT engage with her. Please ignore her and let the police and teachers handle the situation. If you do see her, please notify the teachers and we will contact the police.
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask one of the teachers and we would be happy to help!
As of now the situation is under control and the teachers are on alert, so there is no cause for worry, the teachers will keep you posted on this matter.
As you know the doors are ALWAYS locked so we ask that you ensure the door gets latched behind you when you are coming and going, and if there is a person ringing at the door that you don't know, please don't answer, wait for a teacher.
Thank you very much for your co-operation
Team Hoppers
